Fraternities and sororities have been an integral part of the University of Denver (DU) since 1889 when the first fraternity chapter was established. Almost 130 years and thousands of members later, our fraternity and sorority community continues to offer diverse experiences and opportunities to get involved in leadership, philanthropy, and service, while meeting new friends and excelling academically. Our fraternities and sororities create one of the largest communities on campus and we invite you to experience one of our 21 chapters!
“Recruitment” and “Intake” refer broadly to all opportunities in which students seek membership with one of our fraternities or sororities at DU. The recruitment processes differ for each of our chapters. Some recruitment processes are formal, while others are informal. Some of our chapters recruit year-round, while others recruit only at specific times. More details about recruitment and intake for each specific governing council can be found by visiting the different recruitment pages.
