Gretchen West, Gamma Phi Beta House Director

We change more from ages 18-22 than any other time in our lives. As house mom for GPhi, I have had the privilege of observing this incredible metamorphosis in hundreds of young women since 2001, and hopefully, have aided in the process on occasion. They have certainly influenced my life in countless ways. They are valuable life teachers, and don't even realize it. I have had careers in drafting, veterinary medicine, graphic arts, DU alumni relations, the Head Start project, and for the last 8 years, have been the office manager for MSU Denver’s school of accounting. So I'm pretty much surrounded by students and faculty 24/7 – and this is the best “season” of my life.I signed on for one year in 2001. Fifteen years later, I am still involved. That speaks volumes, wouldn't you say?
